Last night we went to a play at the Phoenix Theatre. There were two empty seats on my right, and just before curtain a man came and sat next to me. Throughout the performance (One Man Lord of the Rings, with Charles Ross), I kept my elbows in so as to allow the fellow on my right some space. After all, I can afford to lean the other way, coz Matt was on that side, and I always like to lean on him!
After the show we headed out to the lobby and saw a familiar face: Emile was one of the four other people in my Fourth Year Acting classes in university. I hadn’t seen him for…well, over two decades anyway. Turns out, he was the fellow sitting next to me, and neither of us noticed. It was so great to see him again, and to be able to introduce him to The Girl!
Turns out… Emile’s son was in The Boy’s acting classes in his first semester of First Year, but then dropped out. So The Boy remembers him.
Turns out…Emile’s car was parked right next to ours.
I love it when stuff like that happens.
