NaNoWriMo progress — five options

On the NaNoWriMo stats page it gives you five options for how you feel while you’re writ­ing, from really happy face to really sad face. The middle face has a mouth that is a straight line. I have been choos­ing this option each time, and the NaNo update tells me that I am feel­ing “just ok” as I write. To that I say, “Non­sense!” No, to me that face means I am determ­ined. The work I am put­ting in is pay­ing off. I am accom­plish­ing my goals almost every day, and I’m thrilled with my pro­gress. Am I happy? Of course I’m happy! (I’m a pretty happy per­son, gen­er­ally) But while I’m writ­ing I am DETERMINED. That is what that middle face means.
