Remnants — a themed anthology from WWOW

Full disclosure, I am a member of WWOW, Women Writing Other Worlds, though I was not part of this anthology, due to working my butt off getting the finale of my own Gatekeeper Series ready to go!

My review of Remnants – the WWOW anthology

This anthology is chock-full of thought-provoking stories! from dragons to robots to a fortune telliing machine (think, the Tom Hanks movie, Big).

It’s a themed anthology, and my one wish coming away from it is for the editors to have included an explanation of the theme. There always seems to be an object, and a connection to the past… I think? I would love to have a better understanding of the objective.*

Having said that, I enjoyed the read very much. My favourite story was HL Bernabe’s contribution, “The Cabin.” Runners up are “The Coalescence of Magic” by Taylor Metzler, and “Clock Full of Stars,” by BJ Sikes.

It was tough to choose favourites!

*The copy I read didn’t include a book description. When I found the book online and read the book description I had a better understanding of the theme, so that helped fulfill this wish!
